The Taylar Young Memorial Foundation, a non-profit incorporation, was established to provide for the maintenance, improvements and operation of the Taylar Young Memorial Ballpark in Anchorage, Alaska.
The Taylar Young Memorial Foundation, a non-profit incorporation, was established to provide for the maintenance, improvements and operation of the Taylar Young Memorial Ballpark in Anchorage, Alaska.
Through fundraisers, specifically our annual golf tournament, we build funds to help defray these costs. At the present time, we have also made provision for three $2,500 student athlete scholarships for high school players from South Anchorage High School (one for baseball; one for softball) and Unalaska, Alaska. As time goes on, we hope to expand the scholarships and help other young people who are engaged in the game and in need of some help and support in their educational endeavors.
All funds received and acquired through contributions, gifts or otherwise will be earmarked for these goals after expenses, fees and reasonable reimbursements have been made.
Eligibility: South Anchorage High School Baseball / Softball and or South Anchorage American Legion players.
